    Investor at Conversion Capital

Excited to announce Conversion Capital's participation in Cargado's $12mm Series A. Matt Silver, Rylan Hawkins, and their team are building the foundational data infrastructure platform for North American freight. As trading lines shift, exacerbated by recent geopolitical volatility, companies with better data and systems will lead. Cargado delivers both to the brokers and carriers on its platform — transforming one of the most essential, yet under-digitized sectors of the economy. The company is driving forward with excellent velocity, yet still just scratching the surface of what's possible, and we're excited to join the team on their journey. Co-Founder & CEO of Cargado | the first collaborative platform for cross-border freight

We just raised a $12M Series A to redefine cross-border freight. Cargado isn’t just another load board — and we never wanted it to be. We’re building the collaborative platform for cross-border freight — one that helps logistics and trucking companies actually work together, not just transact. This new capital lets us double down on that vision: 🚀 Faster product development 🔌 Deeper integrations 👀 More transparency and control for both sides of the marketplace 🤝 Real collaboration — not just coverage We raised this round in the middle of tariff uncertainty, which made it even more important to find partners with long-term conviction. Huge thanks to LGVP for leading the round — Itai Tsiddon and Nicholas Ellenoff immediately understood the complexity of cross-border freight and how much opportunity is ahead. We’re also thrilled to welcome Conversion Capital, Assembly Ventures, and Friends & Family Capital to the cap table, alongside continued support from Primary Venture Partners, Ironspring Ventures, Zenda Capital, and Proeza Ventures. We’ve got some big things coming — new features, new partnerships, and a much better way to do cross-border. If you’re not already on Cargado, now’s the time. • Today we're excited to announce our $12M Series A, led by Itai Tsiddon & Nicholas Ellenoff at LGVP! The round includes new participation from Conversion Capital, Assembly Ventures, and Friends & Family Capital, alongside continued support from our early investors Primary Venture Partners, Ironspring Ventures, Zenda Capital, and Proeza Ventures. Closing this round amid ongoing tariff uncertainties presented unique challenges, but it reinforced exactly why we're building Cargado. Cross-border freight brokers and carriers need better tools, real collaboration, and technology designed specifically for cross-border freight. That's been our mission from day one, and now we're positioned better than ever to make it happen. A huge thanks to our investors and customers who continue to believe in our product, team, and mission. If you're not already using Cargado, you're missing out. Reach out today to schedule a demo.

Brace yourself: a MASSIVE wave of nearshoring is about to hit North America. President Trump just announced sweeping new tariffs, dubbed "Liberation Day," targeting global trade with massive penalties: 🇨🇳 China: 34% 🇮🇳 India: 26% 🇪🇺 European Union: 20% 🇯🇵 Japan - 24% 🇻🇳 Vietnam - 46% But here's the kicker: America's closest neighbors and largest trading partners — Mexico and Canada — are EXCLUDED. If you've been paying attention, cross-border trade with Mexico and Canada was already surging. With these tariffs, particularly on manufacturing powerhouses like China and India, the shift toward North American nearshoring is about to go into hyperdrive. Mexico and Canada aren't just the safe bets — they're the smartest investments on the table. Get ready. The North American trade renaissance is here. The only way to prepare is by leveraging Cargado to support this evolving supply chain!

Since launching our marketplace in April 2024, we’ve collected well over 25,000 bids on cross-border Mexico freight. With tariffs sparking fears of rate fluctuations, we used our bid data to analyze market rate trends. We analyzed bid data by the most competitive, middle of the pack, and the highest bids and categorized them into P25, P50, and P75 (P = Percentile). WIth the exception of usual holiday seasonality, rates generally stayed aligned until the recent newscycle around tariffs, where we saw P75 rates start to climb. In spite of what we’re seeing in the news and online hype cycles right now, the data shows us that the market is still relatively calm. This could change as we get deeper into tariffs but likewise shows the durability of complex supply chains. We will continue to share more insights as we spot them!

Hey SaaS product teams, Stop making your customers log in every time they go to your marketing homepage. No one remembers your app’s subdomain. Is it an app or dashboard or something else? I spent a few minutes looking at some well-known websites and did a quick review of the quality of their login experience. 🤮 F - Services that, when you click Login on their homepage, make you log in again even if you were already logged in. Bank of America, Chase 🤕 D - Services that don’t provide a one-click login button on their homepage. You have to click some kind of popup or find it in the footer Allstate Benefits, and many a government site 🤨 C - Services that, when you click login, it takes you to the app. Trouble is, you aren’t always sure if you will have to login again or not until you click it. Intuit TurboTax (Mint used to be in the F category for awhile), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Rocket Money, Datadog, Brex, Statsig, Rippling 🙂 B - Services that just say “Go to app” when you’re logged in already. HubSpot, CircleCI, Stripe 😃 A-minus - Services that redirect you straight into the app. However, they skip the marketing pages. What if I want to view the pricing page and figure out what features I am missing? How do I do that? GitHub, Notion, Mintlify, Sentry 🎉 A+ - Services that show me my username so I have confidence I am logged in already, but also allow me to use the marketing page. Cargado (we’re not going to make a post like this if we don’t have an A+ 😉 ), Crowdin, Slack Product and design leaders talk about craftsmanship and understanding the customer journey. This is a great example of that. Come join us at Cargado and help us make something great.
