The CapturePoint LLC Board of Directors announced that Greg Harper is the new company CEO, effective immediately! Greg has been a leader in the U.S. energy sector for over 35 years, most recently serving as co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Evergreen Midstream LLC, an asset acquisition and development firm focused on traditional and renewable resources. His experience includes executive positions at several prominent American energy companies, including Blue Mountain Midstream LLC, Enbridge, Southwest Energy (now Expand Energy), CenterPoint Energy, Spectra Energy Partners, and Duke Energy Corporation. In his new role, Mr. Harper has also joined the CapturePoint LLC Board of Directors. The Board expressed appreciation to former CEO and founder, Tracy Evans, who has retired from the company. CapturePoint LLC is engaged in our communities! In early February, CapturePoint donated $10,000 to the Food Bank Of Central Louisiana to help provide healthy nutrition to local families in need. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Louisiana is among the 5 states with the highest levels of food insecurity and has notably higher rates of hunger among children and seniors. Through a network of charitable resources, the Food Bank of Central Louisiana distributes food and groceries to over 22,000 people per month across 11 parishes. They also provide emergency hunger relief services, a mobile pantry, and educational programs in gardening and healthy eating. CapturePoint's Director of Land, Mason McCowen, is pictured presenting the $10,000 donation to Linda Hutson, the Director of Development and Community Relations at the Food Bank Of Central Louisiana. A recent news story about the Oklahoma Carbon Hub (https://lnkd.in/gUupumSA) has been drawing a lot of positive interest in the potential for a deep underground carbon storage site in Northeastern Oklahoma. Written by Chloe Bennett-Steele of StateImpact Oklahoma, a collaboration of the state's NPR stations including the University of Oklahoma's KGOU Public Radio, the story highlights plans for a detailed and far-reaching study and analysis of the local geology in Osage and Kay Counties that will be conducted by a partnership that includes, among others: CapturePoint LLC, the University of Oklahoma School of Geosciences, the Oklahoma Geological Survey, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The study is being funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and private resources.
