As the global trade war continues to roil global markets, we held a call with Jeffrey Gerrish, Capstone senior adviser and former Deputy US Trade Representative for Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Industrial Competitiveness from 2018 to 2020, who believes the policy-driven volatility from the trade war isn’t going away anytime soon.  “Unless you see a very significant market impact, I don't see that deterring the President from moving forward with this or ratcheting it back,” Gerrish said. “But I think they will continue to monitor what's going on in the market and what's going on with inflation to see how they want to proceed going forward.
