Team members of Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown and Rose Town Kitchen & Bar recently attended the #blackhistorymonth flag raising ceremony at Boston City Hall. We captured a quick video of the flag, emphasizing the importance of embracing and celebrating unity within our community. The beginning of the month, we unveiled our annual Black History Month wall of recognition in our Team Member Retreat. This display honors the contributions and stories of heroes who have paved the way for the establishment and celebration of Black History Month. The ceremony at the flag raising event was truly moving. A poignant poem was recited, followed by insightful remarks from invited guests, including the Mayor. It's worth noting that Black History Month, initially known as Negro History Week, was founded by Dr. Carter G.
