Our Engineering Department recently attended the Louisiana Transportation Conference, exploring safety, infrastructure, and tech innovations. Key topics included integrating augmented reality for utilities and pavement preservation. Beyond technical insights, the conference offered valuable networking opportunities with other parishes and municipalities, facilitating the exchange of ideas on successful projects and strategies. Our engineers are eager to apply these insights locally.
Windiest. Rabies. Clinic. Ever! Shoutout to everyone who came to our annual low-cost rabies clinic, and double shoutout to anyone who managed to hang onto their paperwork (or their small dogs) in that wind. 10/10 would vaccinate in a windstorm again. Thanks to our awesome CPPJ staff, volunteers, West-Cal Arena, and local vets for holding it all down and making it happen. See y’all next year, hopefully with less of a breeze!
