At Builders Vision, we're focused on advancing efforts to protect and restore ocean ecosystems, and our teams are always seeking innovative ways to drive progress in nature and conservation finance. Today, we’re excited to announce our latest investment in oceans: a $70 million co-guarantee to support The Bahamas Debt Conversion Project for Marine Conservation, a first for a family office. This initiative is a collaboration with the Government of The Bahamas, the Inter-American Development Bank, The Nature Conservancy's Nature Bonds Program, AXA XL, Standard Chartered, Rothschild & Co., Bahamas National Trust and Bahamas Protected Areas Fund. It will unlock an estimated $124 million for nature and climate in The Bahamas over the next 15 years. Builders Vision is joining forces with the National Geographic Society to drive ocean health and resilience! It’s a collaboration between explorers of all kinds. Uniting the powerful network of Builders Vision’s oceans program with National Geographic’s unparalleled storytelling, our efforts will focus on telling impactful stories and amplifying the changemakers closest to the solutions. Part of this effort includes inviting our key oceans partners to participate in the National Geographic Storytellers Collective, an immersive workshop designed to equip these innovators with tools to share their stories and boldly reach new audiences, driving even greater impact. We’re also launching a global storytelling series to spotlight the groundbreaking work of National Geographic Explorers who are highlighting urgent actions needed to protect our waters. Together, we’re uncovering stories that inspire action and lead to a more resilient ocean ecosystem 🌊.
