Global Lead: People Business Resource People Group of Pan Asian Network (PAN)

This May, I am proud to celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month as a leader of the Bristol Myers Squibb Pan Asian Network (PAN) People & Business Resource Group. With the theme: “exPANd, elevate, embrace” and inspired by the spirit of the Chinese zodiac 2025’s Year of the Snake —a symbol of transformation and wisdom—we honor those that paved the path before us, we reflect on how we can expand through change, embrace diverse cultures and elevate every voice. PAN started off strong with a special event honoring Sandy Leung’s incredible 33-year legacy at BMS. Her leadership has broken barriers and shaped our company with integrity, passion and purpose. We are excited to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month through shared stories, experiences, and activations that celebrate our heritage and drive belonging forward. Let’s continue to exPANd, elevate and embrace—together.  #AANHPI #Inclusion #Belonging #ProudToBeBMS

  • Among the volunteer activities led by our Cultivating Leadership, Innovation & Multigenerational Belonging (CLIMB) members this month: clearing brush at a farm with America's Grow-a-Row, which delivers free fresh produce to underserved communities, and building homes with their local Habitat for Humanity International. Other CLIMB volunteers got a hands-on look at how unused food from our site cafeterias is collected and redistributed with Share My Meals Inc. CLIMB also hosted a raffle benefitting three organizations helping young cancer patients, STEM education and the environment. Join us in celebrating our colleagues’ impactful achievements this month. #OneBMS

  • Genetics play a key role in decoding human health. Over the past two decades, advancements in genetics have exponentially expanded our understanding of causal human biology, the foundational pillar of our research and development efforts. This #DNADay, Robert Plenge shares his perspective on the evolution of genetics and how our scientists are using these discoveries to bring new medicines to patients faster: https://lnkd.in/ernttSpH

    EVP, Chief Research Officer

As a student of genetics for more than two decades, I feel privileged to have watched the field flourish. From the monumental Human Genome Project to the advances achieved by leveraging computational technologies like AI and machine learning, the field has grown by leaps and bounds.   Importantly, our growing understanding of genetics provides a clearer picture of causal human biology, transforming how we treat diseases, from sickle cell disease to cancer and beyond.   Causal human biology is a foundational pillar guiding our research and development at Bristol Myers Squibb. We believe that deep knowledge of human biology will increase the probability we will succeed in delivering transformational medicines to patients in need as quickly as possible.   🧬 Below you’ll find my new article about the evolution of genetics: how far we’ve come, and where I think we could go.   #DNADay #BMS_Employee
