Yesterday, we had an incredible time at our annual Blue Door Summit at Bally’s in Dover! This event brought together Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware staff from across the state to connect, engage, and learn from industry professionals. Through dynamic workshops on conflict resolution, social-emotional learning, cultivating developmental relationships, driving change through science, and unlocking the power of emotional intelligence, our team gained valuable insights to better serve our youth. After 34 incredible years with Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, Dr. Suchi Hiraesave, our Vice President of Grants Development, is embarking on her well-deserved retirement! Suchi’s dedication has been nothing short of transformative, and her contributions will leave an enduring legacy within our organization. Please join us in celebrating her remarkable career and wishing her all the best in this exciting new chapter. Suchi’s journey began in 1990 as one of our first social workers, and over the years, she has taken on various roles that have profoundly shaped our organization. From raising millions in grant funding to fostering partnerships with state and community agencies, her efforts have directly supported countless programs and operations. Most recently, she spearheaded the launch of our Self Prep Food Program and Youth Support Services Program, further enhancing the lives of the youth we serve. Thank you, Suchi, for your extraordinary service and commitment to creating Great Futures for Delaware’s youth!

We are thrilled to welcome Tyrone Friend as the new Executive Director of Youth Support Services at Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware! Tyrone will be leading our Youth Support Services team, focusing on trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, and prevention.
