This week, Patrick Brown and Derek Gray, co-founders of the Beverage Services group and Directors at Blue & Co., had the incredible opportunity to attend the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States Annual Conference. During the event, they engaged in productive discussions with Senator Mitch McConnell, Senator Rand Paul, Congressman Morgan McGarvey, Representative Hal Rogers, Representative Thomas Massie, and Representative Brett Guthrie, alongside Kentucky distillers and other members of the spirits industry. The conversations centered around key issues impacting the distilled spirits sector, including: -Tax policies (as one of the most heavily taxed industries compared to beer and wine) -Tariffs and international trade -The 2025-2030 dietary guidelines and standard drink definition Patrick and Derek are proud to represent Blue & Co. in advocating for the industry and collaborating with leaders to address challenges and seize opportunities ahead.
