Following up on my very recent update for the Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA)'s Joint Fund with MASVERSE, I am also glad to announce our next officialized collaboration — a BGA Joint Fund initiative with the UNDP itself 🌐 Officially known as the SDG Blockchain Accelerator, we will be working alongside the UNDP and EMURGO Labs. This will be a global program to identify, support, and scale the most promising #blockchain use cases in the world that directly addresses the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and we will be culminating this year's program at BGA's annual #Web3Oscar. From the start, the BGA has been aligned in supporting projects that build toward the 17 SDGs (such as EthicHub), and this marks a major milestone for BGA this year to directly operate alongside the UNDP as we move into the next phase of our global mission. Excited that this has finally kicked off, and big thanks to all who have contributed to shaping this initiative, particularly to Teodor Petricevic, Burcu Mavis and Robert Pasicko from the UNDP AltFinLab! Yesterday, it was my honour to mark a significant milestone for the Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) alongside KIAN KOK CHEW, CEO of MASVERSE, as we officialised a strategic partnership to launch the BGA x Masverse Joint Fund 🇲🇾🌐 This collaborative funding pool is dedicated to supporting real-world blockchain innovation through equity-free grants and hackathon prize pools, empowering developers and startups to build impactful, scalable solutions aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. In particular for this partnership with Masverse, our focus lies in Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Our shared mission? To drive meaningful adoption of blockchain technology across emerging and traditional sectors, and foster practical use cases for public good — from supply chain systems to token-based reward infrastructures, education, and financial inclusion, built on MasChain, MASVERSE's public-permissioned blockchain.
