Join us next Tuesday for the first webinar in our newest 6-part Bionano In-Motion series, featuring Dr. Guilin Tang from MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Tang will explore the MD Anderson team’s groundbreaking study published in the American Journal of Hematology, highlighting the potential of optical genome mapping (OGM) in detecting structural variants linked to chromoanagenesis (CAG) in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Performed on a prospectively collected cohort of 410 AML cases, this is the biggest AML study published to date. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with Dr. Tang on her latest findings! 📣 Big news in cytogenomics! The 2024 edition of the International System for Human Cytogenomic Nomenclature (ISCN) has just been released, featuring a new standardized naming convention for #OGM. This groundbreaking inclusion marks a major step forward in establishing OGM as an essential tool in the cytogenomic community. We’re especially thrilled to see OGM data featured prominently on the cover, showcasing a circos plot of translocations detected in a leukemia sample. This visual not only symbolizes the growing adoption of OGM in advanced genomic analysis but also underscores its crucial role in driving impactful discoveries in complex diseases. See our very own Alka Chaubey and Mark Oldakowski with the new ISCN book in hand, representing our commitment to leading the way in next-generation genomics! 🧬

At last week's International Society for Stem Cell Research annual conference, Bionano team members and customers shared compelling data showing OGM's utility for cell and gene therapy applications. The Innovation Showcase, featuring Drs. Jeanne Loring, Lucia Gallego Villarejo, and Alicia Bertolotti, covered the use of OGM to assess genome integrity and monitor genomic instability in cell culture maintenance, and to reveal genomic alterations upon gene editing in hiPSCs. The presenters noted that OGM is a highly accurate method for the detection of genome-wide structural changes at higher resolution than conventional chromosome analysis. If you'd like to learn how OGM can help you overcome limitations in cell bioprocessing workflows, please visit: https://lnkd.in/dZJqRdSb. #ISSCR2024 #ISSCR24 #cellandgenetherapy #stemcellresearch #cellbioprocessing #OGM #Bionano
