  • Ensuring culturally responsive mental health care is important, and resources like those provided by 988 Colorado Mental Health Line make a difference. Juan Escobedo, chair of Colorado's 988 Enterprise Board, sat down with Univision in Denver recently for a TV interview about mental health. Click on the link below to hear their conversation in Spanish. https://lnkd.in/gQ9Z39Dj

  • Over the past year, Lift The Label’s Recovery Cards Project has been hosting opportunities for people to write anonymous notes to strangers in recovery at events like Denver’s Rally for Recovery. The outpouring of encouragement has been incredible to see! In observance of Valentine's Day, we partnered with HardBeauty to deliver 700+ signed cards to inmates at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility to spread compassion, generosity, and connection. Thank you to Demicka, Cassie and Cynthia for sharing their stories. And thank you to reporter Chierstin Susel and the CBS Colorado team for bringing awareness to what recovery looks like for incarcerated women in our state. https://cbsn.ws/42nqVLA

  • “In my experience of giving a card to somebody, it helped create more trust between us to have conversations about substance use and mental health without judgment.” Recovery Cards Project artist Madison Magor spoke with Myki Jones at The Sopris Sun about the impact of giving a greeting card made for and by people in addiction recovery. Supporting someone in their journey can look different for everyone. If you aren't sure where to start, Recovery Cards can help you find the words to spark conversation. Physical cards are available for free to anyone in Colorado, and digital versions can be downloaded and shared around the world at RecoveryCardsProject.com https://lnkd.in/gGNwGCsh
