Benning was proud to attend the DBIA BSCI Clay Shoot at Auburn Oaks Farm in Notasulga, Alabama! 🎉 Representing Benning at the event were Rani Ghawi, Stuart Webb, John Sasser, and our AU Alum summer intern, Devin West. This annual event, hosted by Auburn’s Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) chapter, brings together students and industry professionals for a day of networking, friendly competition, and scholarship fundraising. Now in its fourth year, the clay shoot continuously raises funds for endowed scholarships, supporting the next generation of construction professionals. Huge thanks to Rani, Stu, John, and Devin for representing Benning at this great event everyone who made it a success. The fire department training burn structure in Dawsonville is taking shape! Containers have been stacked and secured with welding and bolts. Some key features include exterior and interior staircases, three burn rooms, 4/12 pitch roof prop, moveable walls/mazes, closets, exterior repelling wall from highest point, multiple door, window, and hatch openings have been cut to fit training needs and realistic drills. Next up is training for instructors and then the first live training with crews sometime in April. Huge shout-out to the Benning team for their dedication and hard work on this project: Jill Ragsdale, Mike Thomas, and Katherine Samford. The grand opening of the SweetBay Town Center Publix was a success!
