Excited to share a recent upgrade I built for Barstool Sports’ One Bite app! The Venue Request Update page now delivers a smoother, more intuitive experience for users submitting pizzeria updates. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gwnDp9Mn highlights: ✅ TypeScript for safer, more maintainable code ✅ Zod for rock-solid form validation ✅ ShadCN + Tailwind for clean, accessible UI components ✅ React Hook Form for efficient state management ✅ React 18 upgrade for improved performance ✅ Autocomplete Typeahead for quick pizzeria lookup ✅ Custom helpers for formatting URLs & social handles ✅ Phone number input masking with react-input-mask ✅ International phone normalization to match our database ✅ Custom SVG icon set (Lucide Icons didn’t work with our version of Next.js and Vercel at build time, so we rolled our own) ✅ Minor CSS improvements for a more polished layout This project was a rewarding challenge in enhancing user experience while modernizing the tech stack. Last year, we decided to take a big swing and celebrate Barstool Nashville's one-year anniversary in a memorable way. We shut down 2nd Ave South, organized a wide perimeter to fit thousands of people, constructed a huge festival stage, booked a great music lineup, and made sure to have plenty of options for drink and food (the Pardon My Cheesesteak food truck was a hit, obviously). It turned out to be one of the best parties of the summer in Music City. Due to the high demand and our bar's growing popularity as a top destination in the area, this year we're expanding the format by creating a two-day event — double the music, double the energy.
