April is Organ Donation Month and to honor the gift of life, we hosted events and activities at North Central Baptist Hospital for our staff and team all week. We left notes of encouragement to our clinical team, educated staff and visitors on the importance of organ donation and ended the week with a flag raising ceremony to honor all donors, recipients and their families. A big shoutout to one of our chaplains, Keith Evans, on being invited to the Texas Capitol to open the April 3rd session of the 89th Texas Legislature with prayer. Chaplain Keith prayed for our "elected officials to be inspired in their noble calling to serve the state of Texas and its citizens" and for continued guidance over the state government. Thank you, Chaplain Keith, for helping Baptist Health System and our community follow a path of hope! For many of our patients, tending to spiritual needs is an important part of the healing process.
