Did you know that it costs businesses up to 3-4% of their total revenue to process credit cards? For a small business like Cheetie Kumar’s Ajja, this adds up to tens of thousands of dollars a year and some months, keeps them from breaking even. At Ajja, swipe fees are their fourth largest expense, almost as much as rent. On Small Business Saturday, we are grateful to see The New York Times write about this out-of-control expense and support Senator Durbin, Senator Marshall and the IRC’s efforts in championing the bipartisan Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA). This bill would not only ease the burden on independent restaurants and small businesses but also save consumers money when they use credit cards, too. Large chains get to negotiate better rates with credit card companies, but a small, independently owned restaurant does not. It matters where you spend your money. Let’s make our voices heard - please call your Senator at 202-224-3121 and urge them to support this crucial legislation. #CCCA #IndependentRestaurants #CallToAction #SupportSmallBusiness #SwipeFees #SaveRestaurants #SmallBusinessSaturday https://lnkd.in/egkthRAs

About us
Our entire team understands the remarkable value of listening. To our clients, the media, consumers, and to one another. We cultivate an agency environment where all publicists embrace strategy but never at the expense of consistent and ambitious tactical media results. We love a challenge and we strive to meet each one head on, daily. We feel strongly that our staff’s development and skill acquisition is key to our clients’ success. So we sustain an open environment where spirited competition is encouraged and where team members share contacts, strategy and best practices freely and without reservation. This simple approach breeds true teamwork, turns junior members into senior members rapidly, encourages longevity, and creates a progressive environment that fuels creativity, problem solving and a deep appreciation for the nuance our career demands at every turn. Thanks to steady, long-term growth in our key practice areas, we relentlessly pursue reinvestment in our team. This reinvestment starts internally but ultimately fortifies our clients. New priorities emerge everyday and we strive to meet them immediately – from finding talented new staff members, to upgrading the agency’s technological backbone, and refining the way we work. The trust our clients and the media place in us is inspiring and we work each moment to maintain that confidence. We approach each client with fresh interest and fresh eyes. This process starts at the very beginning. We most often engage new client prospects through existing ones. Our new business strategy is simple – do great work for the clients we have and hope we are referred to their colleagues and friends. As we explore working together, we navigate a diligent, yet expedient proposal process. If we mutually agree to engage, we lead each client through a thorough review. The outcome establishes a comprehensive strategy and determines the unique and robust narrative we will tell – the very heart of our mission.
