Join us as we celebrate the 2nd Annual Palo Verde Bloom Festival at the Ocotillo Restaurant on Thursday, April 17, 2025. This unique event is dedicated to the beauty and ecological significance of the Palo Verde tree, a symbol of resilience and natural beauty in our region. The Palo Verde, with its vibrant yellow blossoms, lights up our landscapes every spring, creating a spectacular display of color. These blooms are not only a feast for the eyes; they play a crucial role in our ecosystem. As a key source of nectar, the flowers support local pollinators including bees and butterflies, helping to sustain the biodiversity of our area. This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, learn more about our natural surroundings, and enjoy the stunning sights of the Palo Verde blooms. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply in search of a delightful community gathering, there’s something for everyone. Light appetizers will be provided. Admission is free and all are welcome! This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the AZ ASLA Gala + Expo, where I was honored to receive the Student Academic Honor Award! 🌿🎉 It was an inspiring event - getting to connect with vendors at the expo, chat with professionals in the field, and catch up with friends made for a memorable experience. I loved seeing all of the amazing work showcased at the awards ceremony; the creativity and impact of projects across Arizona reinforced my excitement for the future of landscape architecture. A huge thank you to AZ ASLA for this recognition and for putting together such a fun event! I also want to give a shoutout to my professors and mentors who have guided, challenged, and supported me throughout my journey. I wouldn’t be here without you!
