🔥 DeepSeek: Have the Chinese shaken U.S. dominance in AI? ⚡️ The tech sector is reeling—Nvidia shares plummeted 10%, and the Nasdaq index dropped 3%. The reason? Chinese startup DeepSeek has released the open-source AI model r1, which is dramatically cheaper than OpenAI and Anthropic. Training costs are 30x lower, and inference is 11x cheaper. But let’s take a closer look—should we really be panicking? 1️⃣ Efficiency vs. Scale. DeepSeek spent just $5.5 million to train its model, which is nearly on par with OpenAI and Anthropic. Their success is based on two cost-optimization innovations that enabled them to conduct more experiments and quickly replicate Western models' architecture. Impressive, but the full development costs remain unclear. There’s speculation that the Chinese government might be backing them—DeepSeek’s founder, Liang Wenfeng, is reportedly close to Xi Jinping and was recently the only tech representative at a closed-door government meeting. 2️⃣ Ingenuity under sanctions. Facing U.S. restrictions, DeepSeek had no access to state-of-the-art Nvidia H100 chips. Instead, they experimented with Huawei's Ascend 920B chips, which are 5% less powerful but 70% cheaper. Ironically, U.S. sanctions seem to have spurred innovation in China. 3️⃣ Market overreaction. Many “Chinese miracles” often have government support and involve skillful replication of Western tech. DeepSeek likely leveraged Meta’s open-source Llama models and possibly some leaked elements from OpenAI or Anthropic. With superior compute power and datasets, U.S. companies are still in the lead. Adapting DeepSeek’s architecture will only reinforce U.S. dominance. Market leaders like Nvidia will continue to dominate chips, while OpenAI and Anthropic consolidate the LLM market with new engineering approaches and enhanced functionality. ⚡️ The real winners? End users. Language models are becoming cheaper and smarter at an unprecedented pace, paving the way for new vertical applications. The future belongs to those who can deliver the best UX/UI powered by these models—this is where the next wave of shareholder value will emerge. #deepseek #openAI #NVIDIA #venture #AI #Anthropic #

⚡️ Google invests another $1 billion in Anthropic: A step closer to AGI? 🔥 OpenAI's main competitor secures an additional $1 billion investment from Google—separate from a finalized $2 billion funding round led by Lightspeed, valuing the company at $60 billion! Key highlights: 1️⃣ A business on the rise — Anthropic is already generating nearly $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR). Major corporate clients are widely adopting Claude to automate processes, from creating autonomous personal chatbots to document preparation and data analytics. 2️⃣ The strategic battle of tech giants — Cloud leaders Google ($3 billion) and Amazon ($8 billion) are doubling down on their investments in the race to access cutting-edge AI technologies. Anthropic is emerging as a pivotal player in the pursuit of AGI. 3️⃣ Bold predictions from the CEO — For the first time, the company’s CEO predicts that AI will surpass human capabilities in nearly all tasks within the next 2–3 years. In his decade-long career in the industry, he has never been this confident about progress. 4️⃣ Game-changing updates ahead — Dario Amodei has announced the launch of two-way voice mode for Claude and a "memory" feature that will enable the assistant to retain context from previous conversations for a more personalized experience. ⚡️ These developments reaffirm Anthropic’s position as a foundational player in the rapidly growing AI industry. While competitors focus on marketing, Anthropic is dedicated to building truly powerful and safe technologies. 2025 promises even more breakthroughs from Anthropic that could redefine what we believe AI is capable of achieving.

SpaceX: 2 Launches in 24 Hours and 131 Satellites in Orbit! 🚀 🔥 SpaceX kicks off 2025 with incredible momentum, successfully completing two launches in just 24 hours — showcasing unmatched operational efficiency. On the Transporter-12 mission, the 12th in its rideshare program, SpaceX set a record by deploying 131 satellites into orbit, including: — 36 Earth imaging satellites from Planet — The first 3 hyperspectral satellites by Indian startup Pixxel — The “selfie satellite” SatGus, featuring a screen to display user photos with Earth as the backdrop — Two cargo return capsules from Varda Space and Inversion ⚡️ Just hours later, SpaceX launched two lunar landers: — Blue Ghost by Firefly, carrying 10 NASA scientific instruments — Resilience by Japan’s ispace, marking their comeback attempt at lunar exploration after their first mission failed in 2023 ⚡️ SpaceX continues to dominate the launch market, with over 1,100 satellites deployed through its rideshare program alone. Their highly competitive pricing has sparked claims of dumping from industry rivals—but isn’t this exactly the kind of disruption the space sector needs? 🤔 #axevil #axevilcapital #venture #spacex #elonmusk

⚡️ Neuralink is Poised for a Breakthrough in 2025! 🔥 At an event in Las Vegas, Elon Musk announced a major milestone — Neuralink has successfully implanted its neural chip in a third patient. All three patients are showing outstanding results. Musk also revealed that in 2025, the company plans to perform 20–30 additional implants while continuing two groundbreaking studies in parallel! - Prime Study: Patients are learning to control computers using only their thoughts. - Convoy Study: Developing a system for controlling robotic limbs. ⚡️ The pace of progress is astonishing. Just a year ago, the first patient, Nolan Arbo, received the implant... and now the company is entering the active phase of clinical trials. The first commercial deployments are just around the corner. It seems the future is arriving faster than we imagined. 🚀 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/drx2KcR7 #axevil #axevilcapital #veture #preIPO #neuralink

⚡️ Starship: 6th Test Flight 🔥 On the morning of November, 19th, SpaceX conducted the sixth test flight of the massive Starship rocket, with President Trump personally witnessing this historic event. The test was successful, though not without some challenges, which the engineers will continue to refine. Key milestones achieved during the flight: - Testing of the new heat shield - Ignition of engines in orbit - Controlled descent into the atmosphere at a steeper angle - Soft splashdown in the Indian Ocean, 65 minutes after launch Changes to the plan: The Super Heavy booster was initially scheduled to land back on the launch pad (into Mechazilla’s steel arms), but due to technical issues, it was safely splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico instead. On the bright side, everything was perfectly visible in daylight. First payload: Starship carried an unusual passenger—a plush banana—serving as a zero-gravity indicator. This quirky addition provided a clear demonstration of the spacecraft entering orbit, all while preparing the FAA for the certification of Starship to carry more serious payloads soon. Classic Musk! ⚡️ What’s next for SpaceX? The company plans to ramp up Starship launches significantly—targeting 25 launches in 2025. Just recently, SpaceX set another record with 3 launches in 20 hours! Who else can match this pace? The first practical mission for Starship will be deploying new (and larger) Starlink communication satellites into orbit. By 2026, SpaceX aims to send Starship to Mars. ⚡️ With support from the new U.S. administration, these ambitious plans look increasingly achievable.

🚀 Klarna Heads for an IPO in the U.S.! 🔥 Klarna has officially filed a confidential IPO application with the SEC — a historic milestone for the entire fintech industry and our investors. Here's what you need to know: 1️⃣ According to insider reports, the valuation could range from $15 to $20 billion. While the final price range and share volume are still undetermined, Klarna might debut as early as the first half of 2025. 2️⃣ Klarna chose the U.S. over Europe, following in Spotify's footsteps to tap into the more liquid American market. In recent years, the company has aggressively expanded in the U.S., building a strong network of retail partners to compete with Affirm. This has temporarily impacted profits but is already showing positive results. 3️⃣ The company has strengthened its position ahead of the IPO: it has returned to quarterly profitability (and is close to annual profitability), streamlined its workforce through AI integration, bolstered its balance sheet through a £30 billion credit sale deal with Elliott, and resolved internal conflicts between CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski and third-largest shareholder Victor Jacobsson. ⚡️ For us as investors, this is fantastic news. Klarna has successfully transformed from a simple BNPL service into a global fintech platform. The timing for the IPO is ideal — set against a backdrop of lower Fed rates and market recovery. ⚡️ Amazon is gearing up for more billion-dollar investments in Anthropic! 🔥 Exciting news from our portfolio! Amazon is reportedly in talks for a second multi-billion-dollar investment round in Anthropic. The amount could even surpass the previous $4 billion! As part of the deal, Amazon aims to have Anthropic transition to using its proprietary AI chips, Trainium, instead of NVIDIA’s. While technically complex, this migration could grant Anthropic exclusive access to Amazon's infrastructure and reduce costs. Anthropic’s ARR has already exceeded $1 billion and could reach $1.2 billion by the end of 2024. Unlike OpenAI, which is fully dependent on Microsoft, Anthropic leverages cloud services from two giants, Amazon and Google, providing greater flexibility and risk reduction. ⚡️ The secondary market is now valuing Anthropic at nearly $40 billion. Amazon's new investment could be a catalyst for further growth, especially as the company emerges as a key AI partner for Amazon’s cloud business, serving clients like Goldman Sachs and DoorDash. #axevil #axevilcapital #athropic #amazon #venture #investment

Is the Fed Trapped by National Debt? Will They Have to Lower Rates? 🔥 On Thursday, the U.S. Federal Reserve lowered the key interest rate by another 0.25% to 4.75%, but the real suspense lies ahead. Jerome Powell, the Fed Chair, remains concerned about the instability caused by the national debt, which is nearing $36 trillion, amounting to 123% of U.S. GDP. Why This Matters: 1️⃣ Debt Spiral – High interest rates make servicing U.S. debt increasingly costly. The U.S. budget now spends $1.3 trillion per year, or 19% of the budget, solely on interest payments! This expense now surpasses spending on healthcare or even the entire defense sector. 2️⃣ Market Expects Further Cuts – Traders on FedWatch see a 71% chance of another 0.25% rate cut in December. Although Powell and the Fed will base their decision on upcoming inflation and employment data, they may have to keep easing policy to avoid deepening the debt crisis. 3️⃣ Political Factor – Trump’s tax reform plans could further increase the budget deficit, adding to the U.S. debt burden in the mid-term. Meanwhile, Powell has already stated he won’t step down under pressure from a new administration and intends to stay on as Fed Chair until 2026. ⚡️ The Fed is caught between a rock and a hard place: high rates threaten stability, while low rates could fuel inflation. Yet with rising national debt, it seems they have no choice but to continue lowering rates.
