China’s decision to halt exports of critical rare earth materials and magnets is the latest move in a long-standing pattern of economic coercion targeting U.S. industry. Rare earth magnets are essential to the production of robotics and autonomous systems. AUVSI Statement on China’s Sanctions Against U.S. Drone Companies The PRC has sanctioned 11 U.S. drone manufacturers and imposed export controls on 16 more, including multiple AUVSI members.
