HOP - Halte à l'obsolescence programmée has contributed to France's Sustainability Index, tackling planned obsolescence in TVs and washing machines. Ashoka Fellow Laetitia Vasseur and her organization, HOP, are leading a movement to extend product lifespans and hold companies accountable for sustainable practices. Recently, HOP pushed for: · Spare parts prices capped at 33% of new product prices. · Removing repairability barriers in electronics.
