  • Our partnership with Smartegies has helped to grow our firm and helped us do so much more than we could do on our own! SmartWin25 was a great event and we are looking forward to attending again in the future!

  • The Owner of the 1947 Varisco tower (Originally a JCPenney) in downtown Bryan, Texas, renovated the building into a craft distillery. The 2 ½ story copper still is the focal point of the ground level which also contains retail space and a bar. The mezzanine level features a lounge for patrons and visitors to relax, having a view over the retail area and the still. The basement holds the still which extends up thru the ground level floor. The basement also houses the lab, bottling, and storage areas. The adjacent Varisco annex contains the lifeline of the operation – the mash cooker, fermentation tanks, and grain storage. #arkitexstudio30 #architect #adaptivereuse #improvinglivesbuildingcommunity

  • Big things happened at First Baptist Bryan! What started as a plan in 2019 took a little detour (thanks, pandemic 😅), but in 2021, the church hit restart—this time, with even bigger dreams! Fast forward to 2025 and their campus is now a hub for faith, fellowship, and fun! Here’s what’s new: 🏡 A college assembly area for 340 people + a cozy coffee house ☕ for hangouts 📚 New adult group spaces with classrooms, multipurpose rooms & gathering areas 🎉 A kid-friendly expansion with preschool & elementary classrooms, a play area, and children’s church area. Arkitex Studio worked side by side with the church’s team to navigate supply chain challenges and keep things moving smoothly. Now, with a fully renovated Fellowship Hall & Worship Center, First Baptist Bryan isn’t slowing down anytime soon! More projects are on the horizon, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! #improvinglivesbuildingcommunity #faithinaction #churchgrowth #architecture #bryantx #churchaddition #vaughnconstruction #cmar #faithbaseddesign #communitymatters

  • BCS Chamber Day 2025! Yesterday, Arkitex and Smoothie King Aggieland were out and about connecting with fellow local businesses, building relationships, and strengthening our community. Our team visited with businesses located near Hwy 6 in College Station and we met some amazing business leaders. Other teams spread through the community with the goal of visiting every business in BCS. Networking isn’t just about business—it’s about creating opportunities, supporting each other, and having a little fun along the way! A strong community means stronger businesses, and we’re proud to be part of this incredible network. Let’s keep growing together! #improvinglivesbuildingcommunity #architecture #architect #bryantx #municipaldesign #community #smallbusinesssupportingsmallbusiness

  • Preserving History, Building Community At Arkitex Studio, we believe in the power of restoration—not just of buildings, but of the spirit and history they represent. The iconic Queen Theatre, a jewel of Downtown Bryan, has been a testament to that belief. Originally built in 1939 in the stunning Streamline Moderne style, the Queen Theatre stood as a symbol of cinematic magic. However, time took its toll, and the once-vibrant landmark fell into disrepair. In 2010, the Downtown Bryan Association stepped in to save this historic gem, and several local architects—passionate about their community—donated their expertise to restore the Queen’s iconic facade. From the marquee to the signature “QUEEN” letters, careful craftsmanship ensured that its original charm was preserved. Inside, the theater was reimagined to serve as a modern gathering space, complete with a lobby, seating, restrooms, prep kitchen, and office space—ensuring it remains a hub for entertainment, culture, and connection. We’re honored to support projects like this that celebrate our community 30 Years of Improving Lives and Building Community! #improvinglivesbuildingcommunity #arkitex30 #architecture #bryantx #architect
