Has direct lending become too big? Despite significant fundraising, private credit dry powder remains a fraction of what’s available to private equity, and direct lending assets remain modest in size relative to similar asset classes. Given private credit is a growing provider of financing to the private equity markets and has invested assets at a fraction of the size of other relevant asset classes, we believe private credit still has significant opportunity for growth. More on this in Ares' full report: https://lnkd.in/eiZX9Rc8
