Today is World Voice Day, a moment to recognize the importance of vocal health and the professionals who help protect it. We're proud to highlight the work of Aptive Manager Laura Cord, whose research was published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research. Her article, "Prevalence of Self-Reported Voice Concerns and Associated Risk Markers in a Nonclinical Sample of Military Service Members," explores vocal health in a population often overlooked in this space. Before joining Aptive, Laura served as a speech language pathologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where she helped military service members protect and restore their voices. #StaffSpotlight: Meet Harlie Yeldezian, a valued member of Aptive’s creative team. Harlie brings a passion for conceptual thinking and creativity to every project — whether developing campaign concepts, designing digital ads or building visual storytelling strategies. With a background influenced by her mother’s career in advertising, Harlie found her own path in #graphicdesign, where creativity meets problem-solving and strategy. She’s inspired daily by the talented team around her and values the collaborative environment that helps bring bold ideas to life. One of the best pieces of professional advice she’s ever received is “Only take advice from people who are where you want to get to.” Outside of work, Harlie taps into her #creative side through ceramics, dance and even practicing as a Reiki master.
