Together, we raised $30,000 to support the future of nurse leadership! 💙 During #AONL2025, the AONL Foundation launched a $10,000 matching challenge and our community didn’t just meet it, they exceeded it. Thanks to generous donors and an anonymous nurse leader who provided the match, we reached a total of $30,000 raised! Every dollar supports financial aid for nurse leaders to attend AONL educational programs and events. It’s not too late to be part of this impact. Donations are still being accepted. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gEQX_xdk Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more inclusive future for nurse leadership. #AONLFoundation #NurseLeaders #InspiringLeaders

A special message from AONL CEO Claire Zangerle as we close out this incredible week, thank you for being part of it. “Obstacles are just opportunities in disguise.” At the #AONL2025 Closing Keynote, Chad Foster delivered an unforgettable message about resilience, mindset and redefining what’s possible. Blind since early adulthood, Chad has gone on to prove that limitations don't define our potential. His actionable strategies and bold perspective reminded us all that resilience isn't just a trait—it's a practice. We also closed out the week with powerful reflections from Ena Williams, Claire Zangerle, and Deb Zimmermann, reminding us of the impact this community continues to make. Thank you to Cedars-Sinai for supporting this inspiring keynote. #NurseLeaders #LeadershipDevelopment #AONL2025 #InspiringLeaders Ena Williams, PhD, MBA, RN, CENP, FAAN, FADLN Claire Montgomery Zangerle, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAONL, FAAN Deb Zimmermann, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN Chad E. “That’s the way we’ve always done it” no longer works. At AONL 2025 Day 2, renowned organizational psychologist Adam Grant delivered a keynote challenging nurse leaders to Think Again. He reminded us that rethinking what we know (and don’t know) is critical to driving innovation and leading in today’s ever-changing environment. We also celebrated Todd Nelson, recipient of the 2025 AONL Honorary Member Award, for his outstanding contributions to health care leadership. Thank you to Mytonomy, Inc. for supporting this engaging and thought-provoking session. #NurseLeaders #AONL2025 #LeadershipDevelopment #InspiringLeaders

The AONL Nurse Leader Insight Study shows progress in the emotional health and well-being of staff but workplace violence and financial constraints persist. #NurseLeaders
I had so much fun speaking at #AONL25 today. Nurses are such a great audience! I had a chance to present on the Great Return in nursing. I shared new LinkedIn data on the state of the workforce, including the decline in the number of nurses changing careers and the percentage of nurses of working in full-time, contract or self-employment roles. Some of those insights will be published in future editions of my newsletter #PathtoRecovery. It was also interesting to get this year's American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) annual survey in my inbox yesterday (https://lnkd.in/eTKEyeBV) because their insights were in line with what we're seeing from nurses on LinkedIn. Only 49% of respondents said nurse recruitment and retention are a top concern (although it still landed in the top 3.) That's down significantly from last year, as we reported earlier: https://lnkd.in/eQEeAVvG I loved the Q&A section because I got a number of suggestions for new ways we could cut the data in the future. #NursesonLinkedIn, what are you seeing? What else would you want to know about the nursing workforce?

Rebellious curiosity. Bold leadership. Well-deserved recognition. At AONL 2025, we had the privilege of celebrating leaders making an impact: Katie Mapula, AONL Emerging Leader Edna Cadmus, AONL Exemplary Leader University Hospitals, AONL PRISM Award We were then inspired by keynote speaker Yemi Penn, who challenged us to question the status quo, reimagine our belief systems and lead with purpose & curiosity. Her message was a powerful reminder that transformation starts from within. Special thanks to Johnson & Johnson for supporting this important conversation. #NurseLeaders #InspiringLeaders #AONL2025 #LeadershipDevelopment
