Think of malpractice insurance like car or health insurance – it's important for helping protect what matters most: your career, license and reputation. Remember, you may have some protection through your employer’s insurance, but it’s a mistake to rely entirely on that coverage as it can have serious gaps in protection. About us
Health care is changing & nurses cannot sit on the sidelines while decisions are made that affect our patients, our careers, and our personal wellbeing. Organizations that purport to speak for nurses are not representative of the breadth of the nursing profession. ANA-Ohio is an organization for RNs who provide direct care at the bedside, in community settings, classrooms, public health, and many other venues, as well as RNs in positions of leadership with the power to make policy changes. Having a wide perspective within a single entity allows for a broad frame of reference that reflects the concerns of new nurses, mid-career nurses, as well as those who call themselves "retired" nurses. #ANAOhio https://linktr.ee/anaohio *likes and shares do not constitute endorsement*

Nurses do not wait for change; they lead it. That is why we are embracing a bold new look that reflects The Power of Nurses in action. Central to this transformation is The Flame, a symbol of our collective strength, passion, and commitment to advancing healthcare. It represents every nurse who speaks up, takes action, and makes a difference in the lives of patients and communities. This is just the beginning. Explore our new website and take a moment to update your profile to ensure your information is current. Together, we will continue to advocate, innovate, and lead the way for a stronger and healthier Ohio. #ANAOhio #OhioNurses #ThePowerOfNurses https://bit.ly/3XX49r8

At ANA-Ohio, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are essential to the health of our profession and the communities we serve. In response to the recent Executive Order 14173 issued on January 20, 2025, which seeks to eliminate key DEI programs, we reaffirm our commitment to equity and inclusion in nursing. This executive order has raised significant concerns, including its impact on affirmative action, diversity education, and the initiatives designed to address longstanding inequities. ANA-Ohio strongly opposes this order and continues to advocate for practices that combat discrimination and promote equality across all sectors of healthcare. Our commitment remains firm in advocating for inclusive work environments that lead to better healthcare outcomes and promote the well-being of both nurses and the patients they serve. We support diversity education and mandatory training in the workplace, and we remain dedicated to fighting for equitable practices in nursing. To learn more about ANA-Ohio’s official position and how we plan to respond to these changes, please read the full statement here: https://bit.ly/3RldA0W
