THE WAIT IS OVER. A couple of weeks back we said something big was coming. Now we get to tell you what it is. We know there are massive gaps to close in the clean energy space. The grid isn’t keeping up. Supply chains are fragile. The talent pipeline isn’t anywhere near where it needs to be. That’s why we’re so excited to be launching the American-Made series, and bringing you conversations that address the big challenges (and solutions) in battery manufacturing, energy storage, and the workforce that powers it. And to kick it off, we’re bringing in Mush Khan, CEO at Alchemy Industrial. If you’ve worked in #battery tech or #manufacturing in Texas, you might know that Mush is one of the people actually making things happen in this space. He’s been deep in supply chains, scaling operations, and figuring out what it really takes to build a strong, self-sufficient battery industry in the US. We’re sitting down to tackle the big stuff: 🔋 Why isn’t grid expansion keeping up, and what role does energy storage play? 🔋 How do we move toward decentralisation, and what does that mean for businesses and infrastructure? 🔋 What skills does this industry desperately need right now, and how do we close the gap? If you’re working in battery tech, energy storage, or manufacturing, this is a conversation you should hear. 📅 March 26th, 11:00 CT / 12:00 ET / 16:00 GMT 🔗 Register: https://lnkd.in/e2JVXSHY No fluff. No surface-level talking points. Just genuine discussions with the people shaping the industry. REGISTER FOR OUR FIRST SESSION TODAY. #batterytech #energystorage #manufacturing

🚨 Nuclear battery breakthrough? A Chinese startup called Betavolt has started mass production of a coin-sized nuclear battery that can reportedly power a device for 50 years — no charging and no maintenance. 🔋⚛️ 📏 It’s called the BV100. It’s tiny — smaller than a coin — and outputs 100 microwatts at 3V. That’s not huge (yet), but they’re planning a 1-watt version soon, which could be a game-changer for wearables, IoT, aerospace, and even medical implants like pacemakers. 💡 So how does it work? This isn’t your typical “nuclear” story. It uses nickel-63 isotopes and converts the energy from beta decay into electricity via layers of diamond semiconductors. It’s called a betavoltaic battery — and it’s designed to be safe, stable, and radiation-proof. No meltdowns, no recharging, and it works in extreme temps from -60°C to +120°C. ⚠️ Important bit: when the radioactive material decays, it becomes non-radioactive copper — so no long-term waste either. Clever stuff. 💭 Imagine the possibilities: Pacemakers that don’t need replacing Satellites with ultra-long-life power Industrial sensors in remote areas AI drones that can fly for years This is still early days, but it’s one of the most exciting "small battery, big promise" stories I’ve seen in a while. Curious to hear from others — is this hype or the beginning of something massive? 📖 Source: TechSpot 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ejkdXEQc #NuclearBattery #CoinCell #BatteryTechNews
