We create hemp based building materials for new and retrofitted commercial and residential structures.

About us

We design, partner and install hemp based building materials. Green building and sustainable design is at the heart of every building project. Our innovative 'Hempcrete', made of hemp herd and lime–can be produced sustainably from a renewable resource that sequesters carbon as it grows. The benefits of using Hempcrete out weigh those of traditional building materials. Here are a few: • Insulation to your home or business is carbon negative • Natural thermal properties • Acoustically properties • Fire-resistant • Pest-resistant Our mission is to actively store carbon in the walls of our homes, and in doing so, to dramatically improve their energy efficiency in the process. We are dedicated to the development of applications for hemp and lime materials that reach beyond their capacity for thermal and fire resistance. At Americhanvre, we envision a future where hemp begins to bridge the gap between sustainability and affordability in our choice of building materials. Americhanvre is also committed to being mindful of our impact on the environment, to support our local economy where possible, and to promote the growth and well being of our clients and employees. By working openly with others in this industry, we hope to participate in accelerating the shift towards hemp materials and enlightened business practices for the betterment of the planet and of our fellow human beings.

Our first @ereasy_hempcrete spray application for the year, and also the first new build residential hempcrete home in Pennsylvania! This one was special for so many reasons. . This is our closest ever project to home base in Allentown, PA. The home is located in Pottstown, PA and was designed and built by homeowner Jon for he and his wife Kay. The design of the home incorporates timber framing, hempcrete, passive and active solar by @solarstates and a radiant heat floor slab. We can't wait to see how efficient this home will be! . We began this project immediately after our first two Ereasy Spray Application Technician trainings in our facility. It was such a pleasure to have both Damien and Cèline from @ereasy_hempcrete and also Matt from Homeland Hempcrete for the first few days of this project. To watch Damien spray and compare notes with him throughout the process was incredibly valuable. It was also amazing to work with Matt again - this dude understands how to work hard! . Special thank you also to the dudes @harryhemp3 and Sébastien, and also @jordangesko and @pats_ta_gram for helping get this job done. We installed 1200cuft of #hempcrete in only five days of spraying including moving formwork on these architectural walls. Such a joy to work locally and with such good friends! #americhanvre #naturalbuilding #healthymaterials #renewable #sustainableconstruction #architecture #local

  • We are excited to announce that the first of four wall assembly details we are testing for ASTM E119 succeeded in receiving a one hour fire resistance rating! A first for the US hempcrete market and a major step forward in the commercialization of the Ereasy system!

  • Some nice shots of the warehouse as we clean up and organize Homeland Hempcrete designed panels that were insulated with hempcrete via the Ereasy system and also hand packed as part of our recent workshops. The gable ends and other custom panels in the foreground are part of a structure that will be donated to FarmerJawn & Friends Foundation Fund in Philadelphia - a community based CSA seeking to serve neighborhoods in Philadelphia in which fresh produce is not readily available. This produce stand structure, to be known as "Corner Jawn", will soon be deployed to help Christa and her team execute their vision! Special thank you to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Mpactful Ventures for their support in this process! #hemp #hempcrete #biobased
