  • The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo kicked off the first ‘Training Tuesday’ of the year with a compelling event on “Cyber Security Practices & Tools.” We had the pleasure of hosting Taulant Stublla, Virtual Account Manager at Cisco, who delivered an insightful training focused on the evolving landscape of cyber threats. He broke down common cybersecurity challenges, highlighted emerging attack trends, and emphasized the importance of staying vigilant in the digital age. One of the key takeaways was the role of network segmentation in strengthening organizational defenses—an approach applicable to both large enterprises and small businesses. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants had the chance to ask and share their own experiences. Thank you to all who joined us—we’re looking forward to more impactful sessions ahead! #AmCham #TrainingTuesday #CyberSecurity #Cisco

  • AmCham met with Ymer Fejzullahu, Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), to discuss the upcoming energy market liberalization for businesses with 50 employees or an annual turnover exceeding €10 million, set for June 1, 2025. A survey among AmCham members found that 68% expect increased energy costs impacting their overall expenses, 72% believe it will reduce their competitiveness, and 64% anticipate negative effects on long-term investment. Price stability (82%) and contract flexibility (76%) are top priorities when choosing an energy supplier. Given these concerns, 79% support extending the transition period, while 61% favor a phased approach. Chairman Fejzullahu emphasized that the decision aligns with EU legislation but had been delayed due to global developments, and encouraged businesses to engage in the liberalized market. However, companies raised concerns over the lack of information and short preparation time. A stronger communication strategy was suggested to ease the transition. Discussions also addressed potential short-term price increases, with expectations of long-term reductions through regional market integration. AmCham Kosovo continues to advocate for a stable transition for businesses. #AmChamKosovo #EnergyRegulation #KosovoBusiness #EnergySector #EURegulations #KosovoEconomy
