At this year’s Akima Leadership Offsite, Akima Gives was the proud beneficiary of their annual silent auction, featuring art and other handcrafted items from the NANA region. We are beyond excited to share it was a resounding success, raising over $25,000 for NANA Region education, wellness, and cultural initiatives. Akima Gives is a philanthropic organization committed to enhancing the well-being and quality of life within the NANA region of Alaska, the ancestral home of the Iñupiaq in the northwest part of the state. Our vision is to see a thriving NANA region where Iñupiat traditions are preserved, opportunities are ample, and communities are resilient. Our mission revolves around fostering education, cultural revitalization, and healthy communities through a collective and coordinated effort that involves generous contributions from individuals and corporate partners. Akima Gives was founded in 2024 by Akima, a subsidiary of the Iñupiat-owned NANA corporation. Thanks to Akima’s generous funding of all overhead costs, Akima Gives is able to ensure that 100% of all donations go directly to our Iñupiaq beneficiaries.
