***Flashback Friday (from 3/31/25)*** On this last day of Women’s History Month, we wanted to spotlight the woman leading our organization in our mission to impact families and communities along their mental health journey. We asked her: “What type of legacy would you like to create as a part of the Above It All Team?” So today we have our EXTRAORDINARY leader, Ashley Rock Wylie!!! As a Founder and Program Director of Above It All, Ashley brings unending care, wisdom, thoughtfulness and leadership to the Above It All Team. She said: “I want to curate a Legacy of Professionalism and Results. I want Above It All to leave a good reputation and a legacy of really doing the work in our community to make a difference in all the lives we touch. This month at Above It All and in honor of Women’s History Month, we wanted to spotlight the women in our organization who are leading us in our mission to impact families and communities along their mental health journey. We asked each of them: “What type of legacy would you like to create as a part of the Above It All Team?” Today we have our incredible Clinical Director Angela Harper!!! Also serving as a Managing Partner of Above It All’s SOAR Therapy Program, Angela brings her clinical expertise as well as her vibrant energy and creative spirit to the Above It All Team. She said: “I’ve always believed that building something lasting isn’t just about skill or strategy—it’s about vision, faith, and leadership that nurtures. As the Clinical Director and Managing Partner of AIA SOAR (OMHC) Program, this work is more than a profession; it’s my purpose. Above It All isn’t just a name—it’s a movement, a foundation where we collectively plant seeds of knowledge, healing, and resilience, knowing they will take root and flourish. AIA is rich soil, and I am committed to building something that outlives us, something that truly changes lives. I also believe operational systems should work for us, not exhaust us. That’s why my focus is on creating programmatic/clinical structures that endure, leadership that drives real impact, and a culture that commands transformation. At AIA SOAR, we’re not just providing care—we’re reshaping family systems and pushing for holistic, sustainable health. And my prayer? This month at Above It All and in honor of Women’s History Month, we wanted to spotlight the women in our organization who are leading us in our mission to impact families and communities along their mental health journey. We asked each of them: “What type of legacy would you like to create as a part of the Above It All Team?” Today we have our beloved Administrative Director Jane LaPrade affectionately known to us as Aunt Jane!!! Known throughout our home community in Harlem Park, Jane keeps us on our toes and makes sure that all our administrative functions are in tip top shape. She said: “I am committed to building a positive, loving, caring, and supportive legacy at Above It All. I hope that my leadership, compassion, and dedication will inspire others and leave a lasting impact. In every task I undertake, I pledge to give my absolute best, acting with integrity, kindness, and thoughtfulness, with a focus on providing quality care and services. My life has been dedicated to helping others, and I always strive to find the good in every situation. I value teamwork and believe that collaboration toward shared goals fosters a positive and supportive environment. This promotes quality care for the people we serve and strengthens working relationships among staff. I am grateful for every opportunity I have been given to grow professionally and experience the things that have helped me along this journey. Looking ahead, I remain committed to providing great leadership and quality services and support to Above It All. I aim to inspire creativity and provide unwavering support so others can rise above their challenges. She is truly the backbone of our organization and one of your first interactions when you work with us. She said: “One of my biggest goals is to continue investing my time in understanding, mentoring, transferring knowledge, connecting and bringing something unique to the table with our team on a personal level.
