Yesterday, our branch operations leaders gathered for a day of team building and professional development. We recognized the top performers from the first quarter and were able to celebrate all we have accomplished together so far this year.

ACU of Texas is pleased to announce the promotion of Erika Plummer to the role of Chief Operations Officer. Since joining ACU of Texas as Senior Vice President of Operations, Erika has made a significant impact, leading the credit union’s branch network with strategic vision, operational excellence, and a commitment to member service. With over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, Erika brings a wealth of industry knowledge spanning both credit unions and banks. Prior to joining ACU of Texas, she served as Vice President of the Retail Branch Network at Texas’ fourth-largest credit union, where she played a key role in overseeing branch operations. Her leadership and expertise in operational management, member engagement, and strategic planning has consistently driven growth and efficiency, making her the ideal leader to take on this expanded role. Beyond her professional achievements, Erika is passionate about serving her community, particularly with youth, financial literacy, and veterans and their families. She enjoys traveling and cherishes spending time with friends and family, including her husband, Dean, daughters Kerstin and Peyton, son Gavin, and two grandchildren. Clay Franks, President and CEO of ACU of Texas, shared his enthusiasm about Erika’s promotion, stating, “We are thrilled to have Erika step into the role of COO. With her vision and proven track record, we are confident that she will be instrumental in driving innovation and enhancing our member experience.”

Last week, we stopped by Dickinson High School during their faculty meeting to present their Gator Card earnings and share the benefits of our Mascot Card program. It was so great to visit with their team and hear about about how the funds raised are supporting innovative classroom initiatives!

Thank you to LemonadeLXP for partnering with us to equip our employees with the training and resources they need to succeed! Their platform has been a valuable tool in helping our team better serve our communities.

Our Pearland Regional Manager, Derrick Taylor, and Business Development Specialist, Ashley Sweeney, joined Mayor Kevin Cole, the Economic Development Alliance for Brazoria County, and state legislators at the Capitol for Brazoria County Day. We were honored to support this day of advocacy for our region as a breakfast sponsor.
