As today ends Women's History month, I am excited to have Georgine Muntz, CEO, and Patty Jefferson, Chief Development Officer, with Visual Matrix as Actabl's Spotlight Partner! I couldn't agree more with both of them about the power of relationships and finding your "champions" in your corner. I also love when asked what they are each most proud of in their careers they both separately answered about promoting others. Talk about champions! #WomensHistoryMonth #empoweringpartnerships

Closing out Women's History Month with a BANG 💥 Last Friday, five powerhouse women from across Actabl shared their insights, stories, and strength in a candid discussion on navigating gender dynamics and self-doubt, honing leadership skills, leveraging our unique experiences as women, embracing the realities of being a working mom, and so much more! ✨Lindsey Goedeker, SVP of Sales ✨ Marianne C. Nichols Nichols, Director of Partnerships & Strategic Alliances ✨ Taylor Jones, Senior Director of Product ✨ Kenza Sebbar, Director of Revenue Operations ✨ Megan Yagoda Kaplan, SVP of Customer Experience The conversation was real, energizing, and deeply inspiring—leaving us all reflecting, learning, and walking away a little taller. Massive thanks to our amazing committee members, Olivia Messina, Rebecca Crompton, and Samantha Porter, for organizing such meaningful events this month! #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInLeadership #WomenInTech #TeamActabl

It's Friday, and you know what that means! Time for another Actabl spotlight ✨ Meet Amanda Kearns 👋 💭 What brought you to Actabl? What is your favorite part of working at Actabl? A friend introduced me to Actabl and informed me there was an open position that matched my skill set. From the first few interviews, I knew Actabl was a team of individuals I wanted to join. My favorite thing about working at Actabl is that everyone values each other as people versus a means of production. I feel more personally cared for and have fostered greater connections at Actabl than in previous in-person roles, even in our remote environment. 💭 What’s a good piece of advice you’ve received, and how has it impacted your work or life? A great piece of advice I have received that impacts my work and life is to talk to yourself like you would talk to a friend. Was your mistake really that major of an impact? How are you succeeding in life? Give yourself the same grace and compassion you would to the people in your life you love. 💭 Can you share a fun fact or a hidden talent that your coworkers might not know about you? A fun fact about me is that I was the captain of my debate team in college and hold my university's highest national ranking! I still help to coach the students on the team online today

I didn’t plan to sleep in my office. But when the night auditor called out—right after the PM shift called out—it was the only option. If you’ve worked in hotels, you know this feeling. The day’s going fine. Then a call comes in—your PM front desk agent can’t make it. Okay. You cover. Then night audit calls out, too. 🫠 & suddenly, you’re working the desk until sunrise. As a GM, I didn’t just lead the hotel—I lived it. Literally. I kept a spare suit and a blanket in my office. Not because I wanted to. Because I had to. There were nights I closed the shift, slept for a couple of hours, and reopened the next morning. Because someone had to. Because guests were still checking in. Because the hotel doesn’t stop. I learned a LOT during those shifts that never end: ✅ Leadership starts with showing up. ✅ Your team sees everything—even when you’re exhausted, they notice how you carry the weight. ✅ But if you don’t fix the system, you’ll burn out—and so will they. That’s why I became obsessed with solving the staffing puzzle. I started using tools like Hotel Effectiveness by Actabl to build smarter schedules. I stopped trying to “hero” my way through every crisis. & I gave my team better balance, because I finally gave it to myself. You can’t run a hotel on adrenaline forever. But with the right systems, you can run it with intention—& still be there for your family, your team, & your guests. & that’s the work I get to do now at Actabl. Helping other operators solve the same challenges I faced—before they need to sleep in their office to survive the week. If you’ve ever had a shift like this, I’d love to hear your story—drop it in the comments. Or if this sounds way too familiar… let’s talk.

Hotels aren’t just places to sleep. They sit at the center of some of life’s most meaningful moments! ✨ Whether it’s a long-awaited vacation, a wedding weekend, or a meaningful reunion, hotels play a special role in these moments. At Actabl, we’re honored to support the incredible people who bring these moments to life. We see you, we applaud you, and we’re always rooting for you.
