When I aspired 23 years ago to become an event designer I had no idea of the journey I would embark upon. It took nearly 30 interviews before I landed my first real foot in the door in the Atlanta Events industry with Bold Catering & Design I didn’t know it then, but I wouldn’t end up with them full time, and trust me, I was heartbroken. But there was another opportunity waiting in the wings with Legendary Events where I proceeded to dedicate the next 10 years of my career to intense growth, hard conversations of failure and moments pride. I took a risk after those 10 years to leap, and start over in Chicago Kehoe Designs 🥰 New city, way bigger market and a world class design reputation to meet the expectations of. I stepped up to the challenge. Fast forward 5 years and after a pandemic, it was time to find the next chapter, landing with PRA Business Events a long time client and manifesting what we always knew would happen, a transition into the world of DMCs. After 3 years, opportunity knocked again and brought me to Access ❤️ On my 1 year anniversary with Access, I celebrate the journey that I have taken. In December I received the honor of Rising Star at our annual Envision conference. While I’m no newbie to the industry, this honor was awarded to those who had made a great impact in the company within their first year at Access. It’s feels oddly refreshing and energizing to know, a new beginning can start any day, everyday while still achieving the same ultimate goal that 19-year old made 23 years ago. Today, I stand here as your Rising Star, letting the lights shine brightly in anticipation of all that is to come. For those who have believed in me and have supported my crazy journey, your love and faith do not go unrecognized. I hope to only make you even more proud.
