This week marks one year since the Land Facility launched in April 2024. Abt Global Britain is the lead partner of the programme's independent Decision Support Unit (LF-DSU). In this role, we collaborate with The Cadmus Group and the CIFOR-ICRAF, as well as an extended team of experts and resource partners to: - Support programme decision making that is evidence-informed, outcome-oriented and value-for-money driven across all Land Facility engagement areas - Facilitate programme learning, and support the programme to take action to adapt in response - Engage with a wide range of global stakeholders across research, policy and practice in land governance reform to foster learning exchange and share insights from the Land Facility Follow the Land Facility page to stay informed on land governance issues and how countries are working to achieve better coordination, commitment for #VGGT-aligned land reforms, and the capacity to deliver those reforms. #LandReform #Evidence #DSU Tetra Tech International Development

🎉 We're proud to share that Abt has been awarded the Data & HMIS Services contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs!                                                                                                                                  Through this work, we'll support the VA’s Homeless Programs Office with tools, training, and BI dashboards that help staff use real-time data to track how homeless Veterans are being connected with services and housing. According to the State of Veteran Homelessness 2024 report, the VA has reduced Veteran homelessness by 55.6% since 2010—a powerful reminder of what data-driven, coordinated efforts can achieve. The infrastructure of global health was never inevitable. It was built—piece by piece, study by study, system by system—alongside thousands of communities, organizations, and government agencies. In Mozambique, more than 400,000 people are on HIV treatment through systems that didn’t exist 20 years ago. In Namibia, the national lab network reports in days, not months. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, stockouts of pediatric TB drugs fell by half, and 17.5 million children under 5 were treated for malaria. Across the continent, thousands of African scientists are trained to lead vector control. In 60-plus countries, Abt has supported hundreds of programs, policy reforms, actions, and financing and insurance systems to put good health within reach of more than 1 billion people. A groundbreaking Harvard Business School study with 776 Procter & Gamble professionals found that generative AI significantly enhanced performance—helping individuals achieve team-level results 16% faster. It also bridged functional silos in a striking way: R&D and Commercial staff, with the help of AI, produced more balanced, cross-disciplinary ideas. This has major implications for the public sector, where AI can increase efficiency, foster collaboration across agencies, reduce redundancies, and keep teams focused on mission-critical work.
