Do some research and find a some good book on the topic. There can be plenty of notes, lectures etc on the language but believe me nothing can take the place of a book. Start the book. Keep following the topics along with exercises. Go for the finish. There is no shortcut in learning ....

it's important that the path you are choosing is correct having best examples, don't just depend on one resource try to research it, find different answers, different views will give you better clarity, don't afraid of googling it or to ask someone

Listen up, pal. The only good resources for learning are books and online forums or sites like Stack Overflow. For example, if I want to learn C, I'll read a book written by Dennis Ritchie, the guy who actually invented the C programming language in the first place. None of those fancy new apps or shortcuts for me. You gotta get your hands dirty with the real stuff if you want to amount to anything in this field.

always try to implement what you learn, when you write something gets messed up, resolve issue.. I believe you will get a way better understanding on the concept and your mind starts thinking about what you can do more to implement it in a better way. Choose your code Editor wisely and don't just depend all over on it by using extensions and shortcut.. if you are beginner then try to write it by yourself first

To Start VS Code is a good choice. It's multi-platform, that's run on Windows, MacOS and Linux, very simple and intuitive but with extensions for most of the popular programming languages

Have you heard of VIM and CMAKE? Let me tell you, those will make your coding experience really professional and comfortable. They'll also make your code portable and easy to use on different systems. I wouldn't go the typical route with IDEs like Visual Studio or PyCharm. We should do this the right way, the truly professional way, you know what I mean?

From my experience, there's no better way to truly understand the ins and outs of a language than by rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on with it. Move to more advanced features like functions, classes, and libraries.

In my experience, you need to write code to succeed. The problem is usually not having something to solve, or the problem I would like to solve is too advanced for my language knowledge. I highly recommend looking at Advent of Code or 1 Billion Row Challenge, they usually are a good way to start and see yourself making progress easily.

I’d categorise learning a new language/technology into two approaches bottom-up and top-down. By bottom up I mean learning the basic language features and moving on to the more complex features next for which I agree with the approach above. However, not everyone gets interested in the basic stuff as it can get boring. In that case I prefer to go and build something, can be a simple game, app, website, animation etc. by copying code/codebase, watching videos and work your way downwards. Ask yourself what is it about that code that you don’t understand and read the documentation/blogs to fill the gaps.

Drill the fundamentals until it makes sense, do a section, review, do another section, review both, add another section, review all 3, sometimes it is 1 step forward and 2 steps back to make sure you know how each ties up to the next. I found this very helpful. Considering section 5 might refer to section 2 in a sense and trigger the eureka moment, once that comes, practice makes perfect.

But we have to translate those learnings and use it in our application. You'll also get to see those concepts live in action when you practice from hands on.

Maybe pick a problem and solve it with a programming language you know. Then solve the same problem with the new programming language you want to learn. Thus you already know the logic; you just need to find out the equivalent syntaxes for the new programming language. Understanding the similarities and differences between the two languages will help you learn fast.

If you're facing difficulty with a language, I found that repetition helped me a lot: Lets say you are writing a hello world program. With the help of a learning portal you successfully created the program, understood it and verified that it is running fine. Now I'd suggest taking a short break, and then writing the same program, but this time without the help of the source. Compare this with the original program and figure out the differences. This helps me understand the value/meaning behind every point that I missed. Each iteration helps me improve. Conceptually and speed wise as well.

Time waits for no one. If you can afford to quit working and dedicate yourself full-time to study and learn software engineering / programming, it will provide a faster path and an easier way of taking on the depth and vast subject matter within the Computer Science field.
