The trick is to stop treating everything as equally important. Start by asking: *What problem am I solving?* Filter ruthlessly—focus on data that directly impacts that goal. Next, group similar insights to spot trends instead of getting stuck on outliers. Use visuals—charts, dashboards—to simplify patterns. And never underestimate a fresh set of eyes; share key findings with colleagues to refine focus. It's not about knowing it all; it's about knowing what matters. Always remind yourself: clarity over clutter wins.

This is quite usual to happen in edtech projects. The key is to identify a set of focal metrics and stick by them for better clarity. Use business intelligence tools like Tableau, or Power BI to crunch the large data sets efficiently and identify patterns/anomalies/outliers. Keep some scope for changes (adding/deleting/editing the focal metrics) during the project duration. "Most importantly, link the data to the actual student outcomes in order for the edtech project to be most productive. Data and real world outcomes don't exist in silos!"

Work overload is a very common phenomenon which can lead to stress resulting in burnout and consequently unproductive work. In order to deal with work overload it is important to set realistic goals, define what we want to achieve at a time, organize our data and focus on one project at a time. Using a calendar can help us determine the sequence of projects that need to be completed.

Quando me deparo com uma sobrecarga de dados em um projeto de tecnologia educacional, minha prioridade é dar um passo atrás e entender o que realmente importa para alcançar os objetivos do projeto. Gosto de começar revisitando as perguntas principais: “O que estamos tentando resolver?” e “Como isso impacta os alunos e professores?” Isso me ajuda a filtrar os dados e focar no que é mais relevante. A partir daí, analiso quais informações são mais significativas para oferecer resultados práticos. Por exemplo, se o objetivo é engajar os alunos, priorizo métricas como taxas de participação ou tempo de uso das ferramentas tecnológicas.

Since drastic changes is happening in society ,periodic review on the basis of available data is essential for determining the focus. In the beginning of the project the data collection may be planned on the basis of priority to certain focused areas.However the advancement in technology may make it necessary to change the focus.For example for curriculum transaction earlier the focus was on the the things delivered by teacher in the class room .In the later stage the different types of teaching aids ,varieties of interactive methods ,new modes of communication,divergent learning management system etc had come into the picture.So periodic review may be the core activity for arriving at correct conclusion.
