What do you do if your team members are resistant to communication efforts?

If team members are resistant to communication efforts, there are underlying issues that need to be understood - is trust an issue? is fear an issue? is the team aligned to common goal? are the impending deadlines an issue? is skills / competency an issue? what are the communication channels that are effective in disseminating information (two-ways) or other issues. Once we understand the underlying issues, we have to collaborate with the team to come up with solution to those issues and then execute on those solutions. We also have to establish that two way communications are imperative to the success of the program/project. Finally, linking good communications to successful execution of the project will to the team feeling successful

Identify a champion who believes in the vision and work through them to build trust. Lack of trust and unclear big picture are often the root causes. Focus on transparency, open feedback, and clear goals to overcome resistance. Lead by example, encourage open communication, and clarify the project's objectives to get your team on the same page.

We would definitely have to met to discuss the communication issue. Maybe it's the platform that being used, what ever the issue is you have to fix it as a team and move on.

I have experimented extensive with technology, I have trialled & discarded more apps than I can remember. Avoid automation, avoid "personalisation" - it all looks fake, avoid AI as people can tell its an app and not you and it creates resistance. Loom/Teams/Zoom - video is a useful too, but dont try to scale/automate it with AI apps, none of these apps look real and will burn bridges. Definately no chat bots. The technology you should be using is your phone, call somebody and talk to them, try and go meet them at an event.

dont be a stalker, dont be the person that has nothing else to do besides bugg someone. your team should be coming to you not the other way around, if nobody came to ask you anything this week then you`re doing it wrong and should revise. respect is earned, not at your last place but where you are at now - be the team member that others ask for advice by showing extreme competancy at the current task. If you need to monitor progress come at the conversation positively by framing the conversation as you asking THEIR advice - what are they having success/challenge with ? - then its not you monitoring - its them helping others, this gives you chance to see what they are doing and monitor progress by empowering them to grow.
