Keep your self hungry always and don’t let your work become a routine. Celebrate your milestones.

Power engineering field is full of challenges, and embracing them always leads to success. Learning never ends,we should always learn more and more. Technical mindset, technological revolution, growth and development are some of the things you gain through learning in engineering fields - there's not even a single sector where power engineering has no influence. Focus, focus and focus to achieve the extraordinary results.

I was fortunate to have two excellent mentors early in my career. Coming into the industry with limited practical experience and primarily academic knowledge, I was welcomed by mentors who generously shared their insights and expertise. Their guidance helped me build the confidence and skills necessary to manage projects effectively. Their mentorship was instrumental in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application, allowing me to contribute meaningfully from the start.

One thing I've found helpful is having a mentor and making them a friend. It makes your rate of exploit faster and makes you overcome some challenges without much stress.

Take your time to absorb information, and don't hesitate to ask questions when you're unsure about something. Remember, your colleagues and managers expect growth, not perfection, especially in the first few months

About mentorship, choosing a mentor is not an easy task, it is not enough to have an experienced engineer as your mentor, a mentor who can provide guidance, share insights, and help you navigate the complexities of the power industry. With all these things, the mentor also brings his individual values and principles: personality, character, integrity... choose wisely...

The challenge in the first time job in power is your technical boss and your experienced colleagues! You will learn almost everything from then! If they are not excellent, you are screwed and will pick up bad habits. Learn from then, but realized they may not be the best. So do you learning on the side while you learned form then. No need to offend them, just say YES even if you realized they provide incorrect infos. Build your knowledge on the side while you learning from your peers at work

Set short-term and long-term goals for yourself. For example, aim to master specific skills or complete certain tasks within a given timeframe. Breaking down larger projects into smaller, achievable tasks will help you feel less overwhelmed and make progress more tangible. You can also seek feedback from your manager to ensure you're on the right track.

When feeling overwhelmed, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Make sure you’re getting enough rest, eating well, and exercising. Stress can be exacerbated if you neglect your health, so find ways to relax outside of work and decompress after challenging days. A good work-life balance will help you stay grounded and focused.
