Kinaesthetic learners learn by doing, no matter whether they are remote learners or face-to-face learners. Therefore, I will focus on designing the training session that includes a lot of activities. To make participants engaged and involved, I will make sure there are games, case studies, role plays, and team-building exercises. I will also encourage participants to put what they have learnt into practice after the training has concluded in order to improve their comprehension of the material.

Everyone knows that people learn differently. If a person learns by doing- the sooner we give them an opportunity to take action, the more engaged and invested they will be. Get them involved right away with a task, a project or a problem to solve. Find out what other traits are their strengths and help them shine. We need to have a few tools ready in our tool belt for every kind of learner.

I’d design virtual exercises where they can practice the skills, such as role-playing, virtual simulations, or interactive quizzes that require movement or manipulation. I’d also encourage them to work with materials or tools they have at home to make the experience more tactile. Additionally, frequent checkins, clear instructions, and interactive discussions can help maintain their focus and participation throughout the session.

Training kinesthetic learners remotely calls for creativity and movement. I build in regular, hands-on tasks—think roleplays, simulations, or physical props they can use at home. I also get people up and moving: “stand and share,” desk stretches, or activities tied to movement help them stay energised. Using breakout rooms for peer demos or challenges boosts engagement too. The key is to keep it active, tactile, and varied—even through a screen. Learning happens best when the body’s involved.
