Talents gaps are a major area of concern at most companies these days. It is a talent game, for sure. At JK Moving, the largest independent mover in North America, one of our core values is commitment to growth. This is growth of the top line, growth of the bottom line and personal and professional growth of our most precious assets, our employees. One of the strategies we have been using, and certainly not new, is elevating our existing employees through training and development while backfilling the "tasks" offshore/nearshore with trusted partners. "Recruitment" needs to work with OD, C&B, TD/TM for a comprehensive talent strategy. TD/TM are engaged in traineeship programmes to "build" an internal pipeline for customized skills and quick deployment. C&B will advise on benchmarks to keep and motivate employees. Employer branding will be stronger when we have internal champions instead of a marketing agency (or a few) shouting slogans in the marketplace.
