Please do supplier segmentation and based on the outcome of that, have a strategy in place for each of your critical suppliers based on their segment. Some of the strategies based on the segmentation can be: - Find alternatives - Put SLA in place - Ask for buffer stock - etc.

The compatibility between flexibility and agility requires that we have real and accurate information about the amount of actual sales as well as demand, especially with products that depend on their movement on specific seasons.

Be aware that flexibility is normally fighting against standardization which is driving the efficiency and productivity. Give extra thoughts about the amount of flexibility you want to build in the system.
