Evaluate options based on your IaaS provider, existing workflows, and team skillset. We migrated to IaaS using Azure, so leveraging native tools like Azure Pipelines made sense. Their tight integration with our existing Azure resources simplified the transition. Remember, the perfect tool is the one that fits your IaaS journey, not someone else's.

Encountering a deadlock is a common challenge when utilizing a cloud provider. In my experience, opting for numerous open-source tools for CI/CD, rather than relying solely on cloud-specific ones, proves advantageous. Containerizing your application, using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm offers the benefit of decoupling from the underlying platform. This facilitates easy testing without platform dependencies, thanks to the widespread usage and extensive community support of these open-source tools.
