I feel that this approach is incomplete, and stems from a misunderstanding of what art is and why it exists. The AI-driven approach treats art as an output problem: more art pieces, for more consumers of art. This ignores the transformational outcome of art in the artist. Art exists primarily and fundamentally as a form of self expression and introspection in the artist. We create art to discover significance in our existence. The consumer is secondary. Eliminating all the struggle of the artistic creation process means eliminating a lot of the artistic experience itself, and its outcome on the artist and the audience, regardless of the increased output. Years ago, as a marketing professional, I recall spending hours, working with the team to find a picture that could help us tell a story in a piece of collateral. Applications like MidJourney can produce in seconds the very image that we want to support a blog, collateral, website. Even a short film can now be generated with modest prompt engineering skills. As tools evolve, the efficiency and effectiveness of crafts like Sales, Marketing, and other rich-media functions is sure to soar. It is imperative that we integrate Ai applications to the current corporate business apps in a way that marketing SMEs (as example) don't need to become "prompt" or "Ai Professionals" - we should make these tools "invisible" to the user.

Art is a completely subjective form of expression, so my opinion on it is also subjective. However I think AI art will open entirely new realms of art and capabilities of artists. Artists are often limited by their physical ability rather than creative abilities, however this is no longer a problem with AI since actually creating the art is the easy part now. I also believe that with the increased the volume of art created through AI, as well as the new types of art able to be created, the boundaries of creative expression will be pushed.

Musicians love doing covers and mashups of past work of other musicians too - which is basically what GenAI can do for images and text - but the rules for covers and mashups for text and images seem to lead to copyright infringement.
