To elevate my thought leadership meaningfully, I treat feedback not as critique but as a compass for impact. I proactively invite insights from a diverse mix of peers, clients, mentors, and even skeptics—people who’ll challenge and refine my thinking. I ask specific, open-ended questions like: “What resonated most?” or “What would you like to see explored deeper?” This turns feedback into dialogue, not just evaluation. I also track engagement patterns across platforms to understand what truly adds value. Ultimately, thought leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice, it’s about being the most relevant, responsive, and committed to continuous evolution.

The best tools for getting people to see your free events are often eventbright meetup groups and volunteering in your local or specialized communities. The value of In-person conversations and their spontaneity will never be replaced by AI, imo.

Feedback must be viewed as a growth tool, not validation. Interact with your peers and audience in deeper ways—discussions, watercooler moments, or anonymous surveys. Listen to their pain points, points of view, and what really speaks to them. This kind of deeper engagement refines your voice, making it more powerful and attuned to changing needs.

I am a widow. And this role is full of unknowns and no road maps. I am mom to two teen young ladies and need to lead, develop, nourish the physical bodies with food and their hearts/souls with support, guidance, and love. And, in all this - you know what is extraordinarily difficult? Feedback. Because most people listen to respond not listen to hear.
