In my opinion I prefer over informing instead of performing under-informing(Of course, there's a balance to be found) when, we are facing project delays...we should be 1. Proactive to Communicate at the earliest when we sense the delay. 2. Transparent enough to communicate openly. 3. Choose right communication channels. 4. Develop and communicate next potential steps on mitigation to avoid delays to the overall project.
