(edited)There are naturally less distractions for an in-person training session, and in general you will get more attention from trainees, and therefore a better understanding of the content. However, taking training from the comfort of one's home is less of a burden on trainees. So there is a tradeoff. Weigh the value of better focus vs the value of trainees' contentment. Consider both as finite resources and like the article says, take into account the wishes of all involved.
