Something else to consider is that there isn't a single source of truth when it comes to attack simulation. While some tools are better than others, its extremely hard to keep up with today's threats. I utilize several tools and resources to simulate attacks. Open-source C2 frameworks, my own simulations, and open research. I like to emulate the most recent attacks and study the data.

The truth is, most training isn't going to simulate real-time attacks, to do that you have to ensure you induce panic attacks and extreme loads of stress. I haven't found a platform that offers that type of immersive experience yet.
