All of the above steps around analyzing data, refining hypothesis and defining the question you are looking to answer are crucial. However often there is opportunity to ask new questions, discover new metrics, and most importantly connect the new ways of analyzing to the current state(ie new metrics and how they connect to current business models.) An example of this would be the emerging ways in which we are looking at traditional productivity metrics in the restaurant industry, but from a different angle. Productivity is important, but not at the cost of mental health or if it crosses into unsustainable workload scenarios. Looking through this new lens in an effort to protect people is bringing new ideas, strategies and concepts.
