A story well told will leave a lasting impact in the audience and that creates an indirect "word-of -mouth" marketing for the speaker.

Metaphors help us to simplify ideas, say a complex thought in a simple way for all to understand. This helps to create a connection and empathy with the audience. We need to be careful while using metaphors as it can backfire when used in wrong space/ time.

Is it going to target anyone, will someone consider it discrimination, will it be hurtful, will it leave positive or negative impact etc.

Just like a story needs a clear beginning, middle, and end, a strong metaphor follows a similar structure. What kind of teacher would I be if I didn’t point out some common metaphor missteps to avoid: - Overload: Don't drown them with metaphors. Be strategic. Aim for maximum impact. - Inappropriate: Consider your audience and context. To impress the audience with your story - practice with all emotions, just like how you would do it in real before a mirror or home audience or friends or your buddy. If they like it, you have made it. They are your best critics at times, not always. Share a personal story, so it brings your inner feelings at any time, create life to it and show the story and not just tell. Practice this till you are deep in that story, till you bring the impact what you want others to have. Just be yourself.
