I would argue that the list of popular robotics software's that the AI has genereated is not accurate at least not when it comes to industrial robots in a commercial setting. Most companies will either use a limited brand specific OLP software, all the major brands have their own version. Or an agnostic software that can handle many or all brands. The programs listed here would all require a lot of work to do anything useful in a commercial setting.

I have found that ros can be a big help if your robotics platform uses that. I have often added a ros wrapper to tools/software I have needed to make it compatible with the other pipeline. This is especially true when integrating machine learning since it often needs specialized libraries

If every component can run in isolation and it’s responsibilities are clear, it is not important anymore if it is compatible with the rest of the system or not as the micro service architecture and containers will allow every element to talk to one another
